About
I began my career in web design in 1999. I started Ramona Web Design in 2000.
In 2003 I started kollventures.com I had a much better understanding of how to create and wonderful working websites. However, from time to time I would run into a problem with static html websites. Using CGI scripts, I was able to overcome some of the problems such as contact forms. After some research I found that PHP was very powerful and a much better solution to use for form handling and much more. Using a Windows Server, I installed PHP and started using some PHP scripts that I had downloaded. To my surprise I could create forms much better than before, unfortunately I still had no idea how to completely customize the forms. I went on to purchase a few Dreamweaver extensions that enabled me to make full use of mysql database driven websites. The code was crude but it worked, all of the pages had to be redesigned, tables removed, div tags placed and css redone. I found myself working 10x harder than needed. I decided at this point to start learning the php code.
In 2010 I moved from a Windows Server 2008 to Red Hat linux Server, and from hosting from my home to a datacenter hosting, KV (Koll Ventures) Web Solutions was born. With this step I decided all websites that I created were going to be in php, and that I needed to know how to read and write the code myself. One of the clients that I had was using a static html website for a shopping cart and needed updates almost daily, it was very hard to comply with this as I was working on other client sites. My solution was to hold him as long as I could, while I developed my own custom CMS.
In 2021 I moved to Homedale, ID and started Snake River Web Development
